Job Summary: The Operator/Lineman Sr, under minimal supervision from Construction Foreperson/Supervisor, is responsible for installing and repairing aerial and underground communication lines, operating heavy equipment and assembling materials necessary for outside plant (OSP) construction tasks associated with construction work orders and projects. Operates and is responsible for maintenance of construction equipment. Able to perform complex troubleshooting of construction equipment. Ability to lead, supervise, and cross-train team members, and perform inspections ensuring compliance with operating and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years of construction experience in the telecom industry is required
  • The ability to safely work and communicate with construction team members.
  • Complete documentation in a timely and professional manner.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Work Zone Traffic Certification.
  • Working aloft and confined space training.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s/Technical Degree preferred.
