Position Purpose: The Senior Operations Business Analyst of Building Services Parking Lot Projects is responsible for leading the execution of The Home Depot’s parking lot capital and investment program, overseeing a diverse portfolio of project managers, engineers, and paving contractors. They play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the safety, functionality, and appearance of The Home Depot’s parking lot infrastructure nationwide. They must possess a high level of analytical ability to distinguish multiple components of a problem and develop conclusions using quantitative skills. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to leading teams on projects, effective communication to teams and other leaders, reviewing and understanding financial data, identifying trends in paving business and the retail industry. A successful Senior Operations Business Analyst of Building Services Parking Lot Projects ensures the delivery of parking lot resurfacing and investment projects across the enterprise by: Evaluating pavement conditions using survey data and ground penetrating radar to assign Pavement Condition Index (PCI) scores. Prioritizing projects based on need, impact, and budget constraints, making strategic decisions where demand exceeds available funding. Awarding and interpreting engineering designs, ensuring proposed improvements align with operational goals and site-specific requirements. Managing field project managers to drive execution with clear and consistent communication to store teams and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Controlling financials, including budget planning, work order management, and invoice timing, with weekly reporting to finance and leadership to ensure transparency and fiscal accountability

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
  • At least 3 year’s experience managing multi-million dollar budgets
  • Experience leading high performing teams
  • Consulting management and/or project management.
  • Strong quantitative skills such as statistics and data analysis
  • Problem solving
  • Strong Operations, Retail and/or field knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree is preferred.
  • PMP Certification is preferred.
  • 5 years of work experience in construction or asphalt/concrete project management

Responsibilities

  • Lead Project Teams of Analysts and other associates
  • Perform data gathering tasks, synthesis - develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilization
  • Produce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize.
  • Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors
  • Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge.
