About The Position

As the Senior Nutrition Operations Manager, you will lead the operations and execution of Active Generations’ nutrition and transportation programs, including Meals on Wheels, Workers on Wheels, congregate dining, and rural sites. You will ensure programs are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with a high level of quality, while enhancing the experience for both participants and volunteers. Through leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement, you will help drive program sustainability and community impact.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Nutrition or like field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multi-site program operations, including nutrition services, community-based programming, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to support, coach, and hold staff accountable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex workflows, prioritize competing demands, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Skilled in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs, think strategically, and execute with a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with budgeting, billing processes, and financial oversight is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of Meals on Wheels, congregate dining, and rural sites, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and compliant service delivery
  • Support the Nutrition & Facilities Director in executing operational strategies aligned with organizational goals and priorities
  • Monitor program performance, identify trends, and implement continuous improvements to enhance efficiency and participant experience
  • Lead volunteer recruitment efforts and support onboarding, engagement, and retention to meet program needs
  • Oversee billing processes and partner with the Nutrition & Facilities Director on budgeting, cost management, and revenue tracking
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to program coordinators and frontline staff, fostering accountability and teamwork
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support program growth, integration, and organizational initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, vendors, and key stakeholders
  • Evaluate and improve workflows, systems, and processes to increase efficiency and scalability
  • Utilize data and reporting to inform decision-making, track outcomes, and support strategic planning
