As Sr. Network Engineer for Routing and Switching , you'll provide expert-level engineering support for mission-critical enterprise networks. This role requires an experienced engineer who can immediately stabilize, optimize, and improve complex routing and switching environments while working collaboratively within an Agile, team-based model. Requirements

  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred; Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • 10–15+ years of enterprise routing and switching experience.
  • Hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, Cisco SD-WAN, Nexus, Catalyst, ASR, and ISR platforms.
  • Required expert-level certification such as CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure or JNCIE-ENT.
  • Ability to investigate, diagnose, and recommend rapid solutions for high-impact customer issues.
  • Possess a DoD 8140 DCWF Role of 441 – Network Operations Specialist with certifications such as CEH, Cloud+, GCIH, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP.
  • Ability to contribute immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a collaborative, high-performing team supporting mission-critical federal environments
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching infrastructures
  • Support and operate technologies including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and high-availability architectures
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), capable of independently diagnosing and resolving complex network issues
  • Participate in Agile planning, execution, and continuous improvement activities
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with technical peers, leadership, and stakeholders
  • Proactively identify technical risks and recommend architectural and operational improvements
  • Build and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence through technical expertise and reliability
  • Apply creativity and engineering judgment to deliver innovative, mission-fit network solutions
