As a Sr Manager, Manufacturing at Baxter Healthcare Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the successful execution of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for managing shift or multiple shift operations within our manufacturing departments, ensuring that budget, quality, and production goals are met. Your leadership will be instrumental in setting standards and making key employment and staffing decisions. You will also be tasked with interpreting manufacturing policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an Engineering degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in all aspects of the manufacturing process in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or comparable environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and statistical reports, as well as financial reports.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to effectively respond to detailed inquiries and present information to groups and senior management.
  • Proficiency in applying mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, and analysis of variance.
  • Candidates must meet visual acuity requirements as detailed in Baxter Cleveland Visual Acuity procedure CL-01-01-037.

Responsibilities

  • Meet production requirements and deliver high-quality products to customers in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Identify, prioritize, and provide resources to assist the department director in meeting the annual operating plan and budgetary commitments.
  • Supervise daily manufacturing operations across one or multiple departments.
  • Emphasize training and implement control systems to eliminate product discrepancies.
  • Commit to employee feedback and developmental processes.
  • Provide a positive and equitable working environment, emphasizing Baxter's Shared Values: Respect, Responsiveness, and Results.
  • Make staffing decisions and manage disciplinary issues up to and including suspensions and terminations.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts for areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FDA, OSHA, OFCCP, and EPA.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform analytical reviews, recommend, and implement corrective actions for any exception conditions.
  • Work together with divisional personnel to support projects within areas of responsibility.
  • Support plant-wide strategic plan programs and activities.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as determined by supervision/management.
  • Stay knowledgeable about both plant and department environmental health and safety regulations and align with said regulations accordingly.
