About The Position

A Senior Merchant on the ACG Apparel Merchandising Team will work closely with global and geo merchants and cross-functional teams within product creation, planning and brand marketing. The team has an outstanding ability to see beyond trends and identify new market opportunities, delivering the right product, at the right price, in the right place, at the right time. As Senior Merchant on the ACG team, your role will be to connect the needs of our consumer with exciting and innovative product solutions. You will work on our Global Line Plan and Global Marketplace Offerings that attract and engage new and existing consumers. You will report to the Director of Global ACG Apparel Merchandising. A successful Senior Merchant will be self-driven, curious and adaptable, while contributing to an inclusive, positive, and collaborative team dynamic.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • 2+ years of experience in Retail Buying, Merchandising, Product Management or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of consumer and marketplace dynamics.
  • Proficiency in analyzing business and consumer trends.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience driving new projects or concepts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to cross-functional partners.
  • Team-first mentality.

Responsibilities

  • Line Planning : Through focused work on AP, you will assist to support a combined ACG Line Plan spanning across Product Engines (FW, APP, ACC). You will integrate Consumer Concepts into line plans and ensure all plans are grounded in financial metrics.
  • Channel Offering Creation : You will support the execution of end-in-mind planning. You will create marketplace distinction leveraging seasonal channel offerings. You’ll assist in alignment with other Sport focused teams to ensure a cohesive product offering in market.
  • Product Journeys : You’ll lead and support the creation and maintenance of Product Journeys that will excite and engage new + existing ACG Consumers.
  • Franchise Management : You’ll drive marketplace health through franchise management.
  • Leadership : You’ll have opportunity to drive Merchandising Excellence through process enhancement and enablement.
  • Relationship Building: Critical to the success of the Merchandising function, developing effective working relationships with Product Creation, Planning, Supply Chain, Brand and Marketplace teams will be essential. You will be required to be highly effective in a collaborative environment.
