Visit our website at www.axnygroup.com Job Title: Sr Merchandiser, Tech Accessories (headphones, earbuds, phone cases, charging cables, wall plugs, etc.) Location: Onsite 5 days a week at our NYC HQ Position Overview The Senior Merchandiser, Tech Accessories, will own and drive the product and assortment strategy across all tech accessory categories—including mobile accessories, audio, wearables, connected devices, and lifestyle tech. You’ll be the expert on consumer needs, industry trends, and competitive innovation, ensuring that our assortments deliver strong financial results while aligning with brand vision and channel priorities (wholesale, retail, and e-commerce). This role partners cross-functionally with Design, Sourcing, Sales, Production, and Marketing to deliver high-quality products on time, at target cost, and reflective of market demand. You will lead the merchandising process end-to-end: assortment planning, line building, pricing strategy, team leadership, and performance analysis.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of merchandising experience in fashion accessories, tech accessories, consumer electronics, or adjacent categories.
  • Experience with both branded and private label product development.
  • Strong understanding of product development and production processes, ideally for consumer tech or accessories.
  • High proficiency in Excel and merchandising tools (assortment planning, PLM, sales reporting).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, organization, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Product Development, or related field preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, trend-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop seasonal and annual assortment strategies for tech accessories that achieve sales targets, margin goals, and brand objectives across wholesale, retail, and e-commerce.
  • Build and present compelling seasonal line plans that reflect consumer insights, trend direction, and channel needs.
  • Drive branded and private label product strategies, ensuring competitive differentiation and innovation.
  • Partner with design to ideate and refine product concepts, ensuring alignment on trend, functionality, cost, and timeline.
  • Oversee product reviews and checkpoints to ensure final products meet quality standards, aesthetic expectations, and brand identity.
  • Build pricing strategies that align with brand positioning and channel competitiveness.
  • Analyze sales data, margin performance, and consumer feedback to drive actionable recommendations.
  • Identify business risks and opportunities, proposing strategic adjustments to maximize revenue and margin.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of the tech accessories landscape, including trends, features, materials, innovations, and competitive pricing.
  • Conduct regular market research, comp shopping, and consumer insight gathering.
  • Balance trend-right design with customer practicality and technological relevance.
  • Partner with sourcing and production to ensure on-time sample development and bulk delivery.
  • Manage multiple collections and projects simultaneously, shifting priorities as needed without sacrificing quality.
