Experience in the design and analysis of computer rooms, electronic labs, chilled/heating water systems, and VAV systems is preferred. Licensure : An active PE license in any state is acceptable, as long as all the qualifications required to obtain a MD and NJ license are met. NCEES record in good standing or in process Security Clearance : A security clearance is not required, but the successful candidate will eventually require a TS-SCI clearance. Software : Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required. Communications : Excellent technical writing and verbal communications skills Possess a strong awareness of current and emerging industry standards, vendors, and technologies as they relate to the data center facility infrastructure industry Display a working knowledge of facility plumbing Display a working knowledge of data center electrical systems (generator, UPS, lighting, power distribution, etc) Ability to coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants to analyze mechanical requirements & develop designs for new projects Possess strong record keeping skills as well as a good sense of coordination and follow through Possess a working knowledge of specifications Have solid knowledge of codes and standards for his/her trade What you'll get to do: Work with Consultants, Clients, MCFA Senior Mechanical Engineers and contractors to develop and document design goals, criteria and concepts. Also analyze and troubleshoot existing HVAC Systems and Equipment. Perform existing conditions surveys for renovation projects. Perform HVAC load calculations, air & water pressure drop calculations in support of design. Develop the HVAC design concepts into construction documents that meet the design goals and criteria. Perform Construction Administration duties including construction monitoring, site visit report generation, shop drawing review, shop drawing processing, and responding to contractor RFI’s. Produce drawings consistent with client requirements, code compliance, and site standards Learn/train under a team of senior Mechanical Professional Engineers (PE) Hands-on experience with controls, instrumentation, testing & balancing and real-life problem solving. Interface with clients and attend meetings regularly

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HVAC engineering and design experience
  • An active PE license in any state is acceptable, as long as all the qualifications required to obtain a MD and NJ license are met.
