Starkey Hearing, an award winning global medical device company is adding a hands on Sr. Mechanical Designer to the Starkey Hearing team. Qualified candidates will be proficient in using Creo Software, design work with advanced tooling and fixtures for product assembly with 5+ years of experience. This exciting and vital position involves designing complicated tooling and solutions for specific tests and collaborating with different departments as requested. Requirements
- 2 year degree in a technical field with equivalent experience
- 3+ years of work experience desired if have 4-year degree or 2 year degree in a technical field
- Knowledge of materials desired
- Knowledge of technical design required
- Knowledge of geometrical tolerance required
- Ability to design mechanical and/or electrical solutions.
- Creo required and Solidworks capability.
Responsibilities
- Design tools for production and specialty use.
- Build prototypes
- Estimate the cost of fixtures and equipment.
- Implement Changes to Fixturing
- Verifies fixtures for production
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to production fixtures and processes
