About The Position

Senior marketing role managing CSX’s Coal portfolio, focused primarily on domestic customers in the utility, steelmaking, and industrial business segments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
  • 2 or more years of experience in Data Analysis
  • Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
  • A self-starter who can receive minor direction and then work either independently or together with team members to complete assignments
  • Ability to work in a team environment as either a team lead or a participant depending on the situation
  • Adaptable to different social settings with internal and external customers
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish rapport and relationships with individuals at multiple levels internally and externally
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experienced at using Microsoft products for analysis and presentations
  • Above average skills as a writer; can write a compelling business case
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex data sets and provide insights to advance business objectives
  • Project management experience would be a plus
  • Process improvement skills

Responsibilities

  • Customer contract development and management.
  • Price development, analysis, and publishing.
  • Strategic planning to include financial plan and outlook support as well as capital project analysis.
  • Generate market intelligence and develop external and internal presentations for the Coal Sales & Marketing team on global and domestic factors impacting coal for power generation, steelmaking, and industrial applications.
  • Ad hoc analysis related to Coal market strategies, customer strategies, and business segment strategies.
