About The Position

As a Sr. Manufacturing Project Engineer with Raytheon, you’ll use your production and programmatic operations knowledge and your manufacturing skill set in planning and executing collaboratively between the factory and the program. As a liaison to the program and representing the factory’s interest you’ll be accountable for improvement and optimization and will build technical depth in manufacturing processes Additional responsibilities will include: Participating in Engineering Review Board / Change Control Board, Line Of Balance, production increment planning Providing effectivities for Variances / Issue Resolutions / Change Notices Helping with communication across different factory levels and between the factory and the program by providing information on major factory issues and major program changes Addressing large scale quality issues affecting the factory Informing the Manufacturing Engineers when items that affect their hardware (such as variances or change notices) are approved Understanding the configurations of hardware that are planned to be built for a contract, and helping to ensure the factory is prepared Creating and managing Material Master and Manufacturing Bill Of Materials requests Assisting with future contract proposals by providing the BOMS for applicable hardware configurations and other tasks This job will require domestic travel to McAlester, OK and Tucson, AZ. This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s Farmington, NM facility.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Clearance (ATF)

  • Ability to solve technical problems using knowledge of technical writing and technical documentation
