We are now seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Sales, P&HS in the Americas’ region. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, sales execution, marketing and innovation, working closely with Regional teams, Commercial Development, New Ventures & Services, Product Line Management (PLM), Sourcing and Supply Chain Management to accelerate break-in opportunities and convert them into successful commercialization.  The position plays a critical role in expanding Kemira’s market presence, strengthening customer relationships, promoting differentiated technologies and value propositions across priority industries.

Requirements

  • Technical Degree or above in Pulp & Paper, chemistry, engineering or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in commercial roles
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; proficiency in English is required.
  • Proven experience in strategic sales, business development or commercial leadership within chemicals and technology-driven environments.
  • Strong track record in new market entry, break-in sales and commercialization of innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across regions and in complex, matrix organizations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to operate with a hands-on, execution-driven mindset while maintaining a strategic, long-term perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve new strategic sales approaches, processes and performance monitoring tools to support accelerated growth.
  • Identify and qualify new strategic sales opportunities, with a focus on high-value break-in, cross-selling and white-space opportunities across regions.
  • Lead and coordinate strategic sales initiatives in close collaboration with regional sales teams and Key Account Managers, from target identification through commercialization.
  • Actively lead complex break-in opportunities, establishing new customer relationships and positioning Kemira as a trusted and differentiated partner.
  • Promote Kemira’s strategic differentiators, advanced technologies, digital solutions and sustainability-driven offerings to targeted customers and industry segments.
  • Identify and develop digital services and sustainability-related sales opportunities, supporting the definition and refinement of new service-based value propositions.
  • Evaluate evolving market needs, customer challenges and industry trends to proactively identify future growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial Development and New Ventures & Services (NVS) to ensure alignment between market opportunities, innovation pipelines and commercialization priorities.
  • Support the identification and assessment of opportunities to acquire, license, distribute or co-develop new solutions and technologies.
  • Work with Product Line Management (PLM), Sourcing and Operations teams to ensure optimized logistics, manufacturing, and tolling strategies that enable successful commercialization of strategic sales projects.
  • Increase Kemira’s visibility and credibility in targeted industries by leading and supporting marketing and communication initiatives, including trade shows, conferences, technical workshops, publications and social media activities.
  • Partner with the Commercial Development and Marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective market positioning.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including associations, universities, equipment manufacturers, research centers and strategic partners.
  • Ensure strong internal alignment and communication across regions and functions, acting as a connector between strategy and execution.
  • Track progress, report results, and provide clear visibility on pipeline development, opportunity maturity and commercialization milestones.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of strategic sales governance, prioritization, and decision-making frameworks.
