Position Purpose: Lead the transformation of micro space planning practices by driving automation, process improvement, and the integration of advanced analytics. Serve as the strategic initiative leader and domain requirements owner, defining the vision and business roadmap for Planogram and Micro Space Optimization initiatives. Champion initiatives that enhance efficiency and optimize resource utilization across the micro space planning function. Serve as a thought leader and change agent, ensuring the team delivers actionable insights and scalable solutions that align with Home Depot’s merchandising vision and business goals.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen
  • Quantitative analysis / Statistics - proficiency in Access, Excel, SQL
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated success at partnering with cross-functional teams across a complex organization
  • Experience managing multiple direct reports
  • Demonstrated proficiency at managing and prioritizing across multiple project

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in micro space planning and planogram automation.
  • Familiarity with Data Product concepts (e.g., model feature requirements, ML operationalization) and the input/output dependencies between business processes and technical solutions.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and process transformation.
  • Expertise in current-state/future-state process mapping and defining the Target Operating Model for technology enablement.
  • Strong analytical and initiative management skills; experience with advanced analytics and automation tools.
  • Proficiency in defining and communicating Business KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) that guide product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into a coherent strategy and actionable functional requirements to guide new solutions and processes
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including presenting strategic roadmaps to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead/develop team in executing space analysis that influences Merchant decisions and financial outcome.
  • Work with Merchants to capture visual merchandising strategy, and provide corresponding planogram support.
  • Projects will typically involve opportunities that have the potential to drive significant incremental revenues.
  • Accountable for team's accuracy, thought process, timeliness, and viability of recommendations.
  • Review, monitor and communicate metrics and results.
  • Identify, develop, and refine processes to enhance space management within Merchandising
  • Collaborate with business leaders to determine priorities and ensure alignment.
  • Developing connections with cross-functional partners to further analytical insight and viability of executing assortment/space changes.
  • The Sr. Manager must be proficient at communicating to all levels of management.
