About The Position

Verano is seeking a Senior Manager, Social Media to lead and elevate our social media presence across both our Retail and CPG portfolios. This role will oversee the social media team, developing and executing a best-in-class strategy that drives brand engagement, audience growth, and measurable impact. The ideal candidate is a platform-native social expert with a pulse on cultural trends, a data-driven approach, and a passion for building engaged communities.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role within an agency, brand or media organization.
  • Strong creative instincts with a passion for storytelling, brand voice, and community-building.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling successful social media campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and best practices.
  • Exceptional project management skills: ability to own multiple, high-priority or complex projects at once.
  • Hands-on ability to assist with content creation (photography, videography, or editing skills are a plus).
  • Ability to work with agility, tight deadlines, and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Genuine interest in and passion for the cannabis industry is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a bold, innovative, and scroll-stopping content strategy that drives engagement, builds brand affinity, and differentiates Verano across all platforms.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, emerging platforms and algorithm shifts to ensure Verano remains at the forefront of the evolving digital landscape.
  • Cultivate an engaged and loyal audience by fostering meaningful interactions, responding in real-time, and building an insider program for hyper-engaged consumers.
  • Partner with Retail, Product, Creative and PR teams to bring cohesive, integrated campaigns to life across social.
  • Define success metrics, set KPIs, and leverage data-driven insights to refine strategies, improve engagement, and maximize ROI.
  • Develop and manage the social media budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for paid + organic initiatives.
