Role Overview As Sr. Manager, Small Business Portfolio - Integrated Marketing for Authorize.net, you will serve as a key strategic partner to marketing leadership and play a critical role in shaping how the Authorize.net brand shows up in the market as we expand globally. This is not a traditional content marketing role. It is a high-impact leadership position for a proactive, strategic, and highly collaborative marketer who can act as a head of content while also identifying opportunities to strengthen business development, organizational connectivity, and market presence. You will lead the development of a modern, audience-centric content strategy that supports demand generation, brand authority, partner engagement, and regional expansion. You should be equally comfortable building strategic plans, spotting gaps and growth opportunities, creating compelling content, and driving cross-functional alignment across teams and regions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative without waiting for direction, and can operate as a trusted extension of leadership bringing both strategic perspective and hands-on execution to the table. What You’ll Own Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership Develop and lead ANET’s content strategy in alignment with marketing priorities, business goals, GTM plans, and global expansion efforts. Act as the central strategic lead for content across campaigns, thought leadership, brand storytelling, and demand generation. Build and manage an integrated editorial calendar that aligns with priority initiatives, key audience segments, partner opportunities, and regional market needs. Ensure content priorities reflect both immediate campaign goals and longer-term brand positioning objectives. Identify content gaps, emerging themes, and whitespace opportunities that can elevate ANET’s relevance and authority in the payments ecosystem. Brand Storytelling & Market Positioning Help shape and refine ANET’s brand narrative as the business evolves and expands into new markets. Create content that strengthens ANET’s position as a trusted, innovative, and globally relevant brand for merchants, partners, and industry stakeholders. Translate complex payments and commerce topics into compelling, accessible, high-value stories for diverse audiences. Drive thought leadership initiatives that position ANET as a category leader and strategic partner. Strategic Opportunity Identification Proactively identify opportunities for business development support, cross-functional collaboration, and stronger connectivity across the organization. Surface ideas that connect content and marketing efforts to broader business priorities, including partnerships, regional launches, customer engagement, and market education. Act as a strategic “connective tissue” across teams bringing together brand, campaigns, product marketing, partnerships, sales, regional stakeholders, and leadership where needed. Recognize when content can do more than drive awareness, using it to unlock conversations, support revenue goals, and create stronger alignment across internal and external audiences. Content Creation & Performance Optimization Oversee and contribute to the creation of high-quality, multi-format content including blogs, guides, case studies, landing pages, executive messaging, thought leadership, customer stories, sales enablement content, and partner-facing assets. Ensure content is optimized for discoverability, engagement, and conversion across SEO, LLMs and evolving search and answer environments. Partner with digital and web teams to improve content experience, site journeys, and on-page performance. Maintain high standards for brand voice, messaging consistency, compliance, and quality across all content outputs. Use performance data and audience insights to refine strategy, improve content effectiveness, and inform future priorities. Global Marketing Readiness Help prepare ANET’s content and brand strategy for global scale, ensuring messaging can flex across regions while preserving core brand consistency. Partner with internal stakeholders to understand regional needs, market nuances, and localization opportunities. Build content frameworks that can support expansion into new geographies, audiences, and partner ecosystems. Ensure global considerations are embedded early in planning rather than retrofitted later. Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution Collaborate closely with campaign, brand, digital, product marketing, business strategy, partner, and regional teams to ensure content efforts support enterprise-wide objectives. Manage agency partners and external contributors with clear direction, strong briefs, and rigorous quality standards. Bring structure, momentum, and accountability to projects- moving work forward independently and proactively. Serve as a trusted thought partner and right-hand team member to leadership, helping translate priorities into action. What Success Looks Like In this role, success means ANET has a stronger, more cohesive, and more strategic content engine. Content is not only supporting campaigns, but also elevating the brand and opening new business opportunities. Cross-functional teams are better connected through clearer messaging, stronger collaboration, and more effective storytelling. ANET is better positioned to scale globally with content and brand strategies that are both flexible and market-relevant. Leadership can rely on you as a proactive, strategic operator who brings ideas, identifies needs early, and drives meaningful progress with minimal oversight. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
