About The Position

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing facility program guidance for OSHA, Process Safety Management (PSM), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)- Risk Management Program (RMP) This includes but is not limited to: Conducting Compliance and Mechanical Integrity Audits, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), PHA revalidations; being involved in Risk Management Plans (RMP) Ensuring Project PHAs, Incident Investigations, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) review, assistance Pre-startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs), Management of Change (MOC) reviews are completed per requirements, Maintaining regular communication with plant locations, corporate leadership, and engineering teams. Creating and/or updating internal specifications, standards, programs, policies, and forms. Other responsibilities include: Delivering or being an integral part of quarterly enterprise-wide PSM and RMP training ammonia use tracking interface with regulatory agencies Assisting legal counsel on EPA, CSB and OSHA matters Participating in development and maintaining companywide (domestic and some international) PSM systems, engineering and regulatory specifications Providing guidance to plant operations and program administration counseling with plant, complex and division management. Using data to identify trends, track performance, and recognize concern/focus areas

Requirements

  • Education: B.S. or B.A. in technical field or equivalent technical experience; knowledge of ammonia refrigeration fundamentals; understanding PSM RMP regulations
  • Experience: 6 plus years applicable experience with PSM/RMP; a minimum of 2 year’s experience in the food industry.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and scheduling tools. Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint skills with the ability to manage documents in OneDrive and analyze data in Excel.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; capable of making presentations and teaching PSM/RMP classes; able to influence outcomes without direct supervisory authority.
  • Special Skills: Must be capable of working on multi-faceted projects of any magnitude while requiring limited supervision; demonstrate repeated ability to complete complex projects on time and on budget; strong knowledge of a variety of PSM/RMP concepts.
  • Travel : up to 75%
