The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for overall management of production operations within the facility. Successful management of production areas will be accomplished through active involvement and development of work teams, appropriate coaching and feedback, effective resource utilization and visible team leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 8+ years of progressive operations or production management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP or a similar plant management system.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., FDA, EPA, OSHA).

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Proven P&L management and/or experience in a unionized environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) or ISO 9000.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead all plant operations to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) in EHS, quality, and efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs, optimize capital and inventory, and improve factory cash flow.
  • Ensure flawless execution of manufacturing strategies and new product launches to meet quality and production targets.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and respect, and managing employee relations effectively.
  • Serve as a primary business partner by collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive organizational goals.
  • Facilitate strategic change management and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
