About The Position

Sr Manager, Operations (Inventory Control) Has overall responsibility for a single manufacturing facility | Directs all aspects of production activity at the assigned plant to ensure that the desired quantities and quality of products are manufactured on schedule in a safe manner at minimum cost | May be responsible for Accounting, Human Resources and other staff functions. Proven leadership skills with 10+ years of direct oversight of warehouse facility operations required. Demonstrate solid knowledge of logistics processes to include receipt and shipment of Government materials, warehousing development, and strategic planning. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Directs manufacturing operations and management teams for plants and locations of an organization that support business goals.
  • Incorporates the organizational strategy and plans for operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs in manufacturing processes.
  • Monitors production metrics and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Drives workforce planning activities and approves/ allocates resources based on business priorities.
  • Implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain manufacturing capacity and processes.
  • Leads and directs the work of other managers and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.
