The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. The Sr. Manager of Technology and Engineering Services leads cross-functional technology and engineering teams in a matrix environment to deliver secure, scalable enterprise solutions and supply‑chain engineering outcomes. This role is accountable for performance management, career development, strategic planning, project delivery, budget and timeline adherence, and acting as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. The role integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent University degree is required; a focus in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Progressive experience leading technology and engineering teams in a matrix environment; typically 8+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated experience managing managers and delivering cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering enterprise technology integrations and engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and measurable results.
  • Enterprise architecture and infrastructure: database platforms, network design, system integration, and security controls.
  • Application of Business Systems Analysis to capture requirements and define technical specifications.
  • Supply‑chain engineering fundamentals, costing/estimating, and manufacturing processes (including non‑conformance management).
  • Project management and governance: prioritization, risk management, budget control, and reporting.
  • Regulatory and compliance knowledge relevant to engineering and technology operations.
  • Vendor and third‑party relationship management for procurement and implementations.

Nice To Haves

  • Security certifications such as CISSP or CISM (preferred for roles with security oversight).
  • Six Sigma/Lean or quality management certification (preferred for manufacturing/non‑conformance focus).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Managers, Supervisors, and individual contributors in a matrixed organization; conduct performance management and meaningful career development conversations.
  • Set direction and communicate standards for Business Systems Analysis, Technology Enterprise & Security strategies, and Multi‑Family Supply Chain Engineering processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Translate organizational requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable project plans; manage initiatives end-to-end (scope, timelines, approvals, budgets, resources).
  • Drive technical integrations and enterprise initiatives (database management software, security controls, network interfaces, operating systems) to create a scalable, innovative, enterprise‑wide platform.
  • Define and monitor key performance measures, targets, and thresholds for technology and supply‑chain engineering functions.
  • Oversee Multi‑Family Engineering project estimates and cost components (design, equipment, installation, labor, materials).
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration (including sales, marketing, operations, legal/compliance) to ensure solutions meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Facilitate resolution of manufacturing non‑conformance issues, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
  • Manage operational aspects of teams — workflow, performance, compliance — ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for strategic initiatives.
  • Operate effectively in a matrix organization, influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Coach and mentor leaders to build high‑performing teams; sponsor talent development and succession planning.
  • Integrate Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into operational decisions and team objectives.
