You will lead capital projects, support quoting for new and existing assembly operations, and collaborate closely with cross functional teams to strengthen reliability, optimize performance, and maintain a culture of continuous improvement. Target Pay: The target starting base salary for this position is $99,558.00 - $151,596.00 / year (plus quarterly incentive). Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
  • Experience: 5-10 years in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in injection molding and secondary assembly operations
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing indirect personnel such as technicians, contractors, or cross-functional teams
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of secondary assembly processes such as ultrasonic welding, pad printing, mechanical fastening, and automated assembly
  • Familiarity with injection molding equipment and tooling is a plus but not the primary focus
  • Proficiency in CAD, CMMS, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Teams

  • Experience with automation and vision inspection systems
  • RJG or Scientific Molding training/certification is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance teams, aligning priorities with plant objectives
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build technical capability, leadership skills, and career growth
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set development goals, and provide ongoing feedback and support
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Lead process optimization for secondary assembly operations, including automation, vision systems, ultrasonic welding, and other post-molding processes
  • Support the design, implementation, and improvement of assembly cells and workstation
  • Collaborate with quality and production teams to resolve process issues and improve product quality
  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions, process documentation, and training materials
  • Provide limited support to molding operations as needed, with primary focus on downstream processes
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for injection molding machines, assembly automation, robotics, and auxiliary equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards in all maintenance activities
  • Lead and manage capital projects related to new equipment, automation, and facility improvements from concept through implementation
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource plans
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful execution
  • Lead quoting activities for new and modified assembly processes, including cost estimation, equipment specification, and process planning
  • Support commercial teams with technical input during customer quoting and RFQ processes
  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for both engineering and maintenance functions, including: OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Downtime and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) PM Completion Rates Scrap and Rework Rates Project Timeliness and Budget Adherence Employee Development Metrics
  • Use data to identify trends, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Present performance updates to leadership and recommend strategic improvements
