About The Position

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Manager, Infrastructure Services - Network Development to join our team. This person will play a highly rewarding role in creating unique network services and solutions that will significantly impact how our team members connect, communicate, collaborate, and compute. These unique network services and solutions will create notable value for our firm as they support our national interests through the successful execution of military, federal, civil, and commercial programs. The Senior Manager, Infrastructure Services - Network Development will be responsible for creating and executing the long-term strategy and the operational direction for the development and sustainment of Program Work Environments (PWE) network systems and services. The Collins Program Work Environments (PWE) consists of hundreds of stand-alone and integrated IT environments that support stakeholder specific requirements not generally supported by shared enterprise networks and information technology services. Therefore we have a need for unique network services and solutions with characteristics that are different from common commercial network services and solutions. Often times the PWEs' network requirements can only be met by logical and/or physical separation. The PWEs may include Secure/Manufacturing/Factory/Lab domains with unique/autonomous/air-gapped digital infrastructure and tools. The PWEs may meet various security and compliance requirements (DFARS, DAAPM, JSIG, etc) and support multiple classification levels. This position is hybrid. The onsite work will work can be based out of any of the following locations: Marlborough, MA, Richardson, TX, Largo, FL, St. Petersburg, FL, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Adept at working across multiple environments, sites, geographies with disparate technologies, policies, practices, processes, controls, standards, and staff.
  • Must obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification within 3 months of start date.
  • Current CCNA Networking Certification.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with the following skills:.
  • Ability to develop solutions and documentation for complex technical challenges.
  • Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity products.
  • Expertise in firewall implementation and network security.
  • Proven experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities

Nice To Haves

  • Current CCNP Networking Certification.
  • Security+ Certification or equivalent or the ability to obtain it within 3 months.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience with hardening systems using tools like SCAP and following STIGs.
  • Knowledge of scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Fortify).
  • Familiarity with identity management, access management, and authorization solutions (e.g., PKI, LDAP).
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve technical problems both independently and within collaborative teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead PWE Network Solution and Services Creation, Development, and Sustainment.
  • Manage a team of 7 experienced network administrators.
  • Create a 3-year network solution strategy.
  • Oversee the development of yearly network solutions operation plans and project portfolios.
  • Build and develop relationships with solution stakeholders such as: Program Staff, Engineering, Digital Technology organizations, Cyber Security, Government Risk and compliance, and external Business Partner. Collaborate with these stakeholders to enable network solutions to meet and maintain stringent program and security requirements.
  • Deploy network solutions in accordance with applicable Collins and other Stakeholder policies, practices, and procedures associated with network. Architecture, network technologies (e.g. switch, firewall, and router), system configurations, network services, network operations, and security controls.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of scalable network solutions using industry best practices that are optimized for performance and scalability across multiple computing environments.
  • Operationalize network solutions with controls for network resource allocation, utilization, and optimization.
  • Drive troubleshooting and resolves network incidents efficiently and effectively, focusing on mitigation and prevention.
  • Communicate network solution status and quality to stakeholder organizations
  • Implement continuous improvement of network solutions.
