The XRM Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineering manages all aspects related to the product quality and business process excellence development. This role involves consulting with the Management team and employees to ensure all processes essential to the management system are developed, implemented, realized, and sustained. The manager will periodically review applicable laws, regulations, and standards to ensure continued compliance. Responsibilities include controlling documents and records of local processes, coordinating the continuous improvement process (CIP) at XRM, and having the duty and right for escalation to the General Manager and the Management of the Research Microscopy Solutions (RMS) Board in case of deviations on the products and processes. The role also requires collaboration with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified products, developing engineering solutions to repetitive failures, and coordinating supplier management processes with the purchasing department.

  • Consult with the Management team and employees to ensure all processes are developed, implemented, realized, and sustained.
  • Review applicable laws, regulations, and standards for compliance.
  • Control documents and records of local processes.
  • Coordinate the continuous improvement process (CIP) at XRM.
  • Escalate issues to the General Manager and RMS Board as necessary.
  • Work with project engineering to ensure product reliability and maintainability.
  • Develop acceptance tests and inspection criteria with project and systems engineering.
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance management.
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional team meetings focused on process improvement.
  • Create business process flows and activity diagrams.
  • Define process metrics and performance goals.
  • Establish training of processes throughout the organization.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or relevant degrees.
  • 7+ years of experience in industry.
  • Experience with Quality Management systems.
  • Knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools (JMP, Minitab).
  • Lean & Six Sigma knowledge.
  • Experience with audits.
  • Excellent communication skills.
