About The Position

The XRM Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineering manages all aspects related to the product quality and business process excellence development. This role involves consulting with the Management team and employees to ensure all processes, which are an essential part of the management system, are developed, implemented, realized, and sustained. The Sr. Manager will periodically review applicable laws, regulations, and standards to ensure continued compliance and control documents and records of local processes. They will coordinate the continuous improvement process (CIP) at XRM and have the duty and right for escalation to the General Manager and the Management of the Research Microscopy Solutions (RMS) Board in case of deviations on the products and processes. The position also requires collaboration with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified products, as well as the development of acceptance tests and inspection criteria and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering or relevant degrees.
  • 7+ years of experience in industry.
  • Experience with Quality Management systems.
  • Experience with quality control methodologies and tools (JMP, Minitab).
  • Lean & Six Sigma knowledge.
  • Experience with audits.
  • Evidence of structured and reliable work habits.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to develop leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with the Management team and employees to ensure all processes are developed, implemented, realized, and sustained.
  • Review applicable laws, regulations, and standards to ensure continued compliance.
  • Control documents and records of local processes.
  • Coordinate the continuous improvement process (CIP) at XRM.
  • Escalate issues to the General Manager and RMS Board in case of deviations.
  • Work with project engineering to ensure reliability and maintainability of products.
  • Collaborate in the development of acceptance tests and inspection criteria.
  • Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other problems affecting plant operations.
  • Coordinate supplier management process with the purchasing department.
  • Provide input to a risk management plan.
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance management.
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional team meetings focused on process improvement.
  • Create business process flows and activity diagrams.
  • Define process metrics and performance goals.
  • Measure performance of new processes through metrics collection and analysis.
  • Establish training of processes throughout the organization.
