About The Position

The Sr. Manager, Leave of Absence and Accommodations serves as a subject matter expert in workplace accommodations and leave management. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of Accommodations Advisors and Leave of Absence and Accommodations Administrators who represent the organization in the interactive process with associates under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Amendments Act (ADA/ADAAA). You will ensure consistent compliance with ADAAA guidelines as outlined by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), while proactively mitigating organizational risk by identifying creative, reasonable accommodation solutions that enable associates to perform the essential functions of their roles. This role partners closely with Legal, Business Unit HR, Corporate Technology, and other stakeholders to influence outcomes and deliver tailored solutions. You will also play a key role in shaping strategy that advances accessibility, inclusion, and equitable associate experiences across the enterprise. You will join the Leave of Absence and Accommodation Team within HR Shared Services / Associate Servicing. This centralized team administers leaves of absence, disability accommodation requests, and workers’ compensation claims for Fidelity’s U.S.-based associates.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting leave of absence and ADA accommodations
  • Working knowledge of ADA/ADAAA, accessibility standards, EEOC guidance, workplace accommodations, and FMLA
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team of Accommodations Advisors and LOA/Accommodation Administrators through clear, constructive performance feedback
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements and standard practices
  • Strong interpersonal, consulting, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including case documentation and customized correspondence
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in a high-volume environment
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and judgment when managing sensitive matters
  • Self-motivated problem solver with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Oversee the interactive accommodation process, ensuring compliant, reasonable, and effective solutions
  • Partner with Legal, HR, Corporate Technology, and business leaders to assess complex cases and mitigate risk
  • Ensure compliance with EEOC guidance, federal regulations, and internal policies
  • Co-lead quality review and continuous improvement initiatives to drive consistency and accuracy
  • Analyze complex and sensitive cases to balance associate needs with business and organizational requirements
  • Develop and support enterprise-wide training and standard practices related to leave and accommodations
