Additional information can be found at www.ttm.com The Indirect Tax Senior Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of indirect tax compliance, planning and strategy while leveraging technology and automation to drive efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in indirect tax matters, including U.S. sales and use tax, VAT, GST, and other transaction-based taxes across multiple jurisdictions in U.S. and Canada. This position will be reported directly to the Sr. Director of Tax. The Indirect Tax Senior Manager will also conduct training to teams in the U.S. Indirect Tax Compliance & Management Oversee end-to-end indirect tax compliance processes including sales tax, use tax, VAT, GST, and other transaction taxes across all applicable jurisdictions Manage timely and accurate preparation and filing of indirect tax returns Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and international indirect tax regulations Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and assess impact on business operations Lead indirect tax audits and manage relationships with tax authorities Tax Technology & Automation Evaluate and recommend new tax technology platforms to enhance efficiency Collaborate with IT and accounting teams to integrate tax technology with ERP systems Implement and optimize indirect tax compliance automation Leadership & Collaboration Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Legal, IT, and Operations Partner with external tax advisors and consultants as needed Support special projects and ad hoc tax incentive analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field
  • Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in indirect tax (combination of public accounting and corporate experience is a plus)
  • Proven experience with indirect tax systems and automation tools
  • Demonstrated experience leading tax audits
  • Hands-on experience with indirect tax software (e.g. Vertex, Avalara, Sovos, Thomson Reuters OneSource, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Change management and process improvement mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Business Taxation is a plus
  • CPA, CMI or other relevant professional certification preferred
  • combination of public accounting and corporate experience is a plus
