Position Summary The Sr. Manager, Procurement provides strategic leadership for all indirect procurement activities, overseeing sourcing, supplier risk management, and contract governance across categories including fixtures, construction, repairs and maintenance, IT, marketing, and general supplies. This role is accountable for developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive value, manage risk, and support the organization’s long-term business objectives. As a key business partner, the Sr. Manager, Procurement collaborates with senior stakeholders to understand evolving business needs, translate them into effective procurement strategies, and proactively assess supplier and market dynamics impacting cost, quality, and continuity of supply. The role leads complex negotiations, develops and governs Statements of Work (SOWs) and vendor agreements, and ensures strong contract compliance across the supplier base. The Sr. Manager, Procurement also provides leadership in supplier performance management, driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost optimization, service levels, flexibility, and innovation. In addition, the role champions efficient, compliant purchasing processes by partnering with end users, Accounts Payable, and Indirect Tax to ensure strong front-end controls, seamless purchasing execution, and adherence to financial and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply management.
  • Proven experience managing indirect spend categories (e.g., construction, IT, marketing, facilities, R&M)..
  • Demonstrated experience leading RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier selection.
  • Experience drafting and managing Statements of Work (SOWs) and vendor contracts.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring team members or associates.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, Tax, and internal business stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with procurement systems (Coupa strongly preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA or Supply Chain) preferred but not required.
  • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) preferred.
  • CIPS, CSCP, or equivalent procurement/supply chain certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier risk management across all indirect spend categories.
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives and cost optimization goals.
  • Manage RFP/RFQ processes and negotiate supplier agreements, including drafting and governing Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships while monitoring performance against defined KPIs.
  • Analyze total indirect spend to identify cost savings, efficiency improvements, and demand management opportunities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.
  • Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives focused on cost, service, flexibility, and quality.
  • Ensure efficient, compliant purchasing processes, including requisition and purchase order creation within procurement systems (e.g., Coupa).
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, and Indirect Tax teams to ensure strong front-end controls, timely supplier settlement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to procurement associates, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
