About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on leader to oversee Inbound warehouse operations, driving efficiency and goals, safety, and team success through quality, costs, OT% and productivity rates across two shifts. This role manages the overall flow of goods throughout the inbound process (Receiving dock to final pick location). They combine operational expertise with strategic decision-making, leading people (managers to team members), creating a team environment and review continuous improvement in all areas. Requirements

  • At least 8 years of leadership and management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent related warehouse management experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and develop team members.
  • Flexible schedule availability based on department needs.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the management of all Inbound departments and functional groups through reporting Managers/Supervisors.
  • Assumes responsibility for the measurement and effectiveness of all Inbound processes.
  • Assists with annual budgeting process, goal setting, and leads quarterly/annual reviews.
  • Responsible for enforcing productivity and quality rates, reviews pay adjustments, and any other related issues to ensure that the daily workload is completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements in a highly technical and complex environment
  • Collaborate with management peers and executive leadership to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, policies, procedures, and personnel
  • Manages equipment needs and evaluates return on capital improvements.
  • Effectively communicates and engages with all levels of the organization as well as key suppliers and customers.
  • Provides leadership and talent management to their team by promoting team concepts, coaching, mentoring, training, individual development and creative problem solving
  • Responsible and accountable for driving productivity improvement, accuracy of work, and completion in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensures introductory and annual performance reviews are conducted on a timely basis for department team members.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and safety for the entire Distribution Center.
  • Assists with managing capital asset maintenance and controlling operating expenses.
  • Identifies strategies to create value-added programs in the Distribution Center that support business goals.
  • Motivates and leads a high-performance DC Leadership team; attracts, recruits, and retains required members of the team as needed; provides mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the distribution center.
  • Conducts performance reviews for Managers and Supervisors.
  • Establishes SMART goals and tracks performance, development plans and improvement plans as necessary.
  • Performs other relevant job duties as required.
