Come find your “more” with Mohawk!  What we need: The Sr Manager Human Resources is a senior-level manager that will plan, develop, design, and implement HR programs, policies, and practices that support specific goals and objectives of the business unit while ensuring compliance to corporate HR and regulatory standards are maintained. This role will work with business leaders to develop and implement the best HR practices and will coach and consult managers on how to build company culture as well as lead a team of HR employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 8-10 years of job-related experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Develops intermediate understanding of people management practices and managing small teams of direct reports.
  • Emerging understanding of broader organizational context and goals.
  • Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential people data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business leaders' capabilities in employee relations, investigations, talent acquisition, performance management, talent development, etc.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand key business objectives and organizational needs and implement HR strategies to support those goals.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and programs comply and are administered equitably.
  • Work with the recruiting function to source, interview, select and oversee orientation for incoming talent.
  • Execute key HR processes relating to compensation, performance management, talent acquisition, talent development, employee engagement, DE&I, etc.
  • Consult with leaders and employees to improve employee engagement, employee relations, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Prepare Human Resources budget and ensures department operates within budget.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
