Purpose: Experienced people leader combining deep technical pricing expertise with proven people-management skills to set and execute regional pricing strategy. Serves as the primary resource for complex pricing programs, mentors and develops junior talent, and partners across commercial, R&D, operations, technology, and medical innovation to convert market and patient insights into actionable pricing decisions that meet business objectives and customer expectations. Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in global pricing strategy, contract ownership and development of pricing playbooks, with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for all levels of audience, including executives.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships cross-functionally.
  • Leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and develop high-performing cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with medical device industry best practices and a track record of successfully implementing operational strategies for growth & scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing pricing strategies for a portfolio of current and future products across targeted customers and market segments.
  • Conducts market research to understand the competitive landscape.
  • Identifies target market position by geography, market segment, customer group, etc.
  • Develops commercial/pricing to achieve targeted market position(s), conducts quantitative and qualitative pricing research and works
  • Lead regional/global pricing initiatives and large-scale projects, including price calculations, pricing strategy development, and market trend analysis.
  • Translate consumer health and patient trend data into clear reports and strategic recommendations that inform product proposals and go-to-market decisions.
  • Define and own programs across the pricing lifecycle—from feasibility analysis of pricing proposals to implementation and governance.
  • Shape organization standards for product performance and ensure pricing and customer expectations align with business goals and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage development and monitoring of business unit pricing strategies, ensuring milestones, deadlines, and deliverables meet guidelines.
  • Provide advanced subject-matter expertise in contemporary pricing models and government pricing requirements, including legal and regulatory changes
  • Drive strategic cross-functional communication and best-practice sharing with operations, R&D, technology, and medical innovation teams
  • Establish and refine pricing systems, processes, and roles to enable timely, data-driven departmental decisions and efficient price implementation
  • Assess and optimize departmental processes, responsibilities, and workflows to accelerate data analysis and execution
  • Coach, mentor, and provide functional (matrix) supervision to junior colleagues; foster their skill development and accountability

  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

  • Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
  • Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
