Location: 7610 Clyde Park Ave - Byron Center, Michigan 49315 Position Summary: This role is r esponsible to provide leadership for all financial services and staff development for the department. Work closely with customer accounting and operating personnel to identify trends, issues and opportunities to improve financial performance of customer stores. Responsible for timely and quality completion of periodic tax and financial reporting for each client enterprise. Here’s what you’ll do: Responsible to provide leadership for the financial services group by, planning and leading all financial activities related to financial statements and payroll and tax services for enterprise clients. Ensure client financial statements are prepared accurately in accordance with department standards. Responsible to provide financial statements and various other financial reports to clients. Responsible to review and/or prepare corporate, partnership, limited liability, trust and individual tax returns for clients. Review and/or prepare quarterly estimated tax payments as required. Ensure payroll and payroll tax returns are prepared accurately and timely in accordance with department standards. Provide financial expertise for clients as needed. Solicit new business by attending trade shows, etc. Prepare department budgets and forecast updates per established basis. Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals. Develop and monitor department budget as required. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best accounting practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Here’s what you’ll need: Bachelor’s Degree (Required) in Accounting or Finance or related field. Certified Public Accountant (Preferred) Seven years accounting experience with financial statements and/or tax preparation experience. Five years prior management experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and effective decision-making skills, organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, strong initiative and ability to prioritize multiple projects/deliverables. Excellent financial/spreadsheet modeling skills. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficient in MS Office. Experience reviewing and preparing financial statements and corporate, partnership, trust and individual tax returns. Experience with Great Plains accounting software and Ulta Tax software preferred. Ability to travel 10%. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required) in Accounting or Finance or related field.
