Discover more by following us on LinkedIn!GENERAL FUNCTION The Senior Manager of Industrial Controlling is responsible for the accounting, controls and reporting of the Oakley Manufacturing Plant in Foothill Ranch. They lead a team to manage the budget, forecast and actual operating costs and capital expenditures of our manufacturing plant.  The role includes regular reporting and dialogue with the central controlling team for our parent company, EssilorLuxottica, and monthly reviews of the financial results with the Oakley Manufacturing Leadership Team.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles and ability to communicate application of those principles to key leaders
  • 7+ years of Cost Accounting Experience including
  • Budgeting/Forecasting
  • Standard setting and plant controlling
  • Operating expense/ Capital Expenditure tracking and analysis
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems
  • Leadership of a team
  • Ability to build teams and create accountability to drive results
  • Exceptional Excel skills
  • Ability to create Power point presentations and present relevant data
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the timely and accurate preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and weekly/monthly management reporting packages.
  • Leads the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Orchestrates the monthly close of actual results and the analysis and reporting of results and variances vs. budget and forecast.
  • Presents financial results, annual budget and forecasts to the Oakley Manufacturing Leadership and Luxottica Controlling leadership.
  • Maintains a robust system of internal documentation and controls, including review and approval of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and review and inventory testing and controls though cycle count/physical count processes.
  • Drives a culture that emphasizes process improvement and organizational development
  • Oversees the cost control systems, manages and interprets cost audits, and reviews cost accounting reports for presentation to top management.
  • Manage, mentor, and coach direct and indirect staff
  • Other duties as requested.
