Verily’s Business Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented analytics leader to drive operational excellence throughout the company. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain our financial data architecture and business intelligence (BI) systems. You will act as a pivotal partner to cross-functional leaders, transforming disparate data sources into actionable insights. By developing operational KPI dashboards, automating workflows, and leveraging advanced analytics, you will directly influence business performance, operational efficiency, revenue growth, and product line profitability.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or a closely related field.
  • Advanced SQL: 8+ years of experience with SQL, with a readiness to mentor junior analysts in query optimization and coding best practices.
  • BI Expertise: 5+ years of experience managing and developing within Business Intelligence tools (Looker preferred).
  • dbt Mastery: 3+ years of hands-on experience owning and developing production dbt models and workflows.
  • Proven expertise in data modeling concepts, ETL processes, data orchestration (Airflow and Python preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and data quality frameworks while serving as a strategic translator who turns complex technical frameworks into actionable business value.

Responsibilities

  • Architectural Leadership: Lead the design, development, and implementation of a robust, scalable financial data architecture for the Business Operations organization.
  • Analytics Engineering: Develop and maintain data models, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and rigorous data quality standards.
  • BI & Insights Strategy: Oversee the management of BI tools and lead the creation of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that surface actionable operational recommendations.
  • Process Automation & AI: Partner with cross-functional teams to automate manual reporting processes to streamline operations. Pioneer the use of AI and Agents to drive business efficiencies, including automating the monthly financial close process.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT and Engineering teams to ensure the seamless and efficient integration of data systems across the organization.
