The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team Brief Description of Department The Facilities Maintenance department oversees 4 million sq ft of Manufacturing and Office space in the greater Tucson area. The department serves as a single source to Facility Infrastructure and Production Equipment MRO, to include Asset Protection and Custodial and Ground Services. What You Will do: This role will provide oversight and direction to the Facilities Maintenance organization and provide leadership regarding Work Order Management, customer service and adherence to budget in a Union environment. The role will also involve coordination with customers on business interests and provide an appropriate business response. Communicate business decisions of Facilities and be able to articulate them with clarity and understanding. Manage Facilities expense/demand budget, specific to preventative and corrective maintenance. Oversight and management of targeted maintenance contracts and selective outside services, such as landscape maintenance and other miscellaneous supplemental services. Analyze financial information and communicate impact to team and customer. Understand and maintain compliance with Safety training, laws, codes, and regulations. Assess risk and develop mitigation plans while keeping progress moving forward. Support monthly and quarterly progress reports to ES leadership and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) staff Define and articulate the detailed scope of work and the over-arching requirements of Facilities action to contractors and maintenance staff. Manage and assess the facility infrastructure to ensure its continued functionality. Selectively monitor critical facilities actions to completion. Act as an advisor to subordinates or staff to articulate common goals and lay out a tactical plan to solve problems.

Requirements

  • This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Facilities, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and 8 or more years’ relevant experience. In the absence of a degree 14 years of relevant applicable experience may be considered
  • At least 10 years’ experience managing facilities expense/demand budget, specific to preventative and corrective maintenance to include Managing and accessing the facility infrastructure to ensure its continued functionality
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in supervising or leading building repair and maintenance for building infrastructure
  • Experience reviewing and working with complex written and graphical information and articulating the same to staff, peers and customers
  • Experience managing and negotiating between customers and facilities in a fair and effective manner with creative solutions

  • Strong understanding of Building Automation and controls, such as Siemens and JCI
  • Project management and scheduling
