Position Brand Description: The Engineering Sr. Manager is responsible for setting strategies and objectives for their area within Indy Device Assembly and Packaging (IDAP). The Team Leader supervises day to day engineering activities and manages the team’s technical capacity roadmap and frontline engineering escalation. The Team Leader is responsible for developing employees as necessary to meet business requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience (preferred GMP experience).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing and following HSE policies and ergonomic environment within process team
  • Actively participate in safety-related activities (audits, JSA’s, hazard reviews, etc.) to drive ongoing safety improvement
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (gloves, steel toed shoes, safety glasses) as required by local procedures and the activity being performed
  • Understand safe operation of the equipment within the area
  • Develop, mentor, coach, and recognize employees within their organization
  • Develop local processes and procedures in accordance with the FUME system
  • Use and encourage Lean tools to achieve success
  • Understand and influence the manufacturing control strategy for their area
  • Remove barriers that impact team performance
  • Provide technical input / support, as required
  • Meet the requirements of the FUME System through execution of local processes and procedures
  • Track team performance in executing and completing objectives
  • Ensure proper resources and tools are in place to execute team objectives
  • Prioritize the team’s time and task execution based on impact to business needs
  • Develop and maintain the team’s technical capacity roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals
  • Staff the team with personnel capable of meeting business needs and objectives
  • Act as role model in demonstrating Lilly’s core values
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely, and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals
