About The Position

Join the Exentec Media Supply Team as they launch a multi-year journey to build a lasting company. They are scaling a high-performing, product-led organization that ships differentiated ultra-high purity specialty gas, vapor, and bulk delivery systems; develops people as a competitive advantage; and runs a disciplined stage gate engine that releases products to high volume manufacturing (HVM) with quality, speed, and margin. As Sr. Manager Engineering and Design, you will practice servant leadership, raising the bar through clarity, coaching, and trust. Your mission is to deliver an incredible new product journey from concept to HVM, build leaders who build leaders, and institutionalize engineering systems that scale.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Materials, or related) required
  • 10+ years in product development for complex electromechanical/industrial systems.
  • Demonstrated success implementing stage gate NPI and transferring products to HVM at contract or internal manufacturing.
  • Track record of servant leadership: building leaders, coaching performance, and shaping culture.
  • Strong collaboration with Product/Operations/Quality/Field Service; adept at decision rights, interfaces, and operating cadence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering organization (mechanical/electrical/software/controls/systems, program & test) with clear ownership, decision rights, and interfaces.
  • Establish and enforce the phase stage gate process (requirements concept design & verification pilot build/NPI HVM release), including entry/exit criteria, design reviews, and documentation.
  • Drive platform architecture & configurability to reduce cycle time, cost, and complexity.
  • Manage key product documentation (FMEA, SOOs, Product Manuals, Spec Sheets).
  • Build talent systems: competency models, technical ladders, mentoring, internship rotations, and university partnerships.
  • Partner with Operations to define transfer to manufacturing criteria and ensure stable ramps; close loops to engineering for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a data driven cadence (weekly program reviews, monthly scorecards, health metrics, quarterly strategy) with transparent status and escalation paths.
