Job Summary Responsible for leading a team of Software Development Engineers in the planning and designing of software and web applications. Manages projects from design to testing, including new programs, enhancements and modifications. Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to conduct testing. Job Description Core Responsibilities Lead embedded software engineering teams delivering core platform capabilities for Comcast’s RDK-based video devices. Define and execute strategy, roadmap, and Release Management of RDK platform for Comcast’s entertainment platform Partner with product, hardware, architecture, and operations teams to align platform capabilities with business priorities and device launch timelines. Ensure platform reliability, performance, and scalability across millions of deployed devices. Drive system-level integration across SoC vendors, OEM partners, and internal platform teams. Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex platform, performance, and field reliability issues. Own release commitments and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery aligned with quarterly and product launch milestones. Manage cross-functional dependencies across platform, application, cloud, and hardware teams. Oversees the planning and designing of software and web applications, including new programs, enhancements, and modifications. Collaborate with vendors (Broadcom, Realtek, Amlogic, MediaTek), OEM partners, and RDK community stakeholders Represent Comcast engineering in executive updates and cross-organizational planning. Provides guidance to the Software Engineering team and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements. Serves as primary point of contact and liaison between Software Engineering and other teams. Directs implementation initiatives for new software products and applications. Organizes software update process for existing applications and coordinates the roll-out of software releases. Manages all the deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications and budgets. Implements performance metrics and prepares period reports and/or proposals. Monitors and tracks project progress and reports findings to leadership team. Ensures all engineers keep current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products. Provides leadership and direction to department personnel from lower-level managers to non-exempt employees. Manages cross-project communications. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
