Somatus, the leader in value-based kidney care, is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Product Management to drive impact across our analytics ecosystem. This role combines data product leadership with program and project management responsibilities, ensuring that analytics initiatives are strategically prioritized, executed efficiently, and deliver measurable business outcomes. The Senior Manager will own the roadmap for RenalIQ Insights and other analytics workstreams, while also serving as the central point of coordination for stakeholder requirements, backlog management, and cross-team alignment. This position will work collaboratively with Analytics & AI sub-teams, Technology, Clinical, Operations, and Finance to maximize the impact of Somatus’ data products and analytics programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 4 years focused on data products, analytics platforms, or business intelligence tools.
  • 2+ years of people management experience, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience with Power BI and SQL.
  • Strong technical acumen with understanding of data architectures, data warehousing, ETL processes, and modern analytics technologies.
  • Demonstrated success launching and scaling data products that drive measurable business impact and user adoption.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and influence without authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, or Computer Science.
  • Experience with modern data stack technologies including cloud data platforms, data visualization tools, and machine learning operations.
  • Background in both B2B and internal data product development, with understanding of different user needs and go-to-market approaches.
  • Track record of building data products in regulated industries or environments requiring strong data governance and compliance.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira) and frameworks adapted for data and analytics contexts.
  • Prior experience in a consulting or customer-facing role that demonstrates ability to understand diverse business problems and translate them into product solutions.
  • Proven success in program management and cross-functional coordination for analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the data product roadmap for RenalIQ Insights and other analytics initiatives in alignment with company objectives and analytics strategy.
  • Partner with analytics, reporting, and data engineering teams to translate complex data requirements into scalable product solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish product management best practices, frameworks, and processes specific to data products, including discovery, prioritization, development, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Own the product lifecycle for data platforms, tools, and applications, from concept through launch and ongoing optimization based on user feedback and metrics.
  • Define success metrics and KPIs for data products, establishing measurement frameworks to track adoption, usage, and business value delivered.
  • Coordinate and monitor analytics initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery.
  • Maintain and manage the analytics project backlog, working with team leads to set priorities and communicate status updates.
  • Partner with stakeholders to capture business needs and translate them into actionable requirements before analytics development begins.
  • Facilitate regular planning sessions and status reviews to keep analytics, product, and business teams aligned.
  • Define and track program-level KPIs to assess the overall business impact of analytics initiatives and data products.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies across projects, and ensure resource allocation supports priority initiatives.
  • Drive engagement across the organization to understand data needs, gather requirements, and ensure analytics deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business leaders to identify opportunities for new data products and enhancements to existing offerings.
