Requirements

CPA certification
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a government contracting environment
Deep knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Strong technical accounting expertise under U.S. GAAP
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion Cloud)
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

Experience working with DCAA audits and government cost proposals.
Ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards.
Proven track record of process improvement and team leadership.

Responsibilities

You’ll lead all cost accounting activities tied to government contracts, ensuring compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), FAR, and U.S. GAAP while maintaining the highest levels of financial integrity.
This includes overseeing indirect rate structures, cost allocations, and contract billings; providing technical accounting guidance on complex transactions; supporting audits and government reviews; and partnering with finance, legal, and operations teams to inform contract negotiations and reporting.
You’ll also mentor a high-performing accounting team and help modernize accounting processes through ERP enhancements and automation initiatives.
