About The Position

Sr. Manager, Business Development - Electric Utilities - San Antonio Sr. Manager, Business Development - Gas Utilities - Southeast Must be located in San Antonio, TX What You’ll Do: Research and compile field market intelligence such as competitive information and market or industry trends to leverage in client pursuits Develop and nurture new business opportunities, while calling on existing accounts to support operations teams in diversifying account revenues Provide electric capabilities presentations, demonstrations “Lunch and Learns” and attend industry tradeshows to cultivate opportunities Develop and maintain quality relationships with clients, and participate in preparation of responses to RFP’s CRM Input and maintenance to measure sales pipeline, sales revenue, client touchpoints, and adherence to overall revenue targets

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in the Utility industry preferred in Business Development, Engineering, or Project Management capacities.
  • Reside in or near the Houston area with ability to regularly engage in-office with utilities in the area/region
  • Strong relationships & experience with CPS energy in electric Transmission, Substation, Distribution
  • Strong background in Electric Transmission, Substation & Distribution throughout TX, LA, OK, AR
  • Networked in the Utilities Sector
  • Prior experience working with utilities or engineering services firms
  • Ability and desire to travel 3 to 4 times a month (50-70% Travel) as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering or A/E/C related degree; P.E. or P.M.P. is a plus
  • Strong relationships & experience with CPS energy in electric Transmission, Substation, Distribution
  • Ability to work independently across business functions in remote office setting
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present in front of a diverse group of stakeholders, up to and including c-suite executives.
