Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Current ARRT(M) and NM licensure
  • BLS through the American Heart Association
  • 2+ years of experience in Mammography

Nice To Haves

  • PACS, RIS, EPIC and Magview
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography examinations in accordance with ACR, MQSA, and Optum standards
  • Provide direct patient care with a focus on comfort, safety, and service excellence
  • Maintain oversight of mammography quality assurance, including equipment calibration and daily performance checks
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements related to breast imaging
  • Manage and monitor imaging protocols, workflow efficiency, and adherence to best practices
  • Support front office and nursing teams with technical guidance and operational problem solving
  • Collaborate with physician leaders to optimize patient flow and clinical outcomes
  • Oversee image archiving, documentation, and reporting processes typically supported by HIM in larger departments
  • Conduct staff education and training related to imaging safety, quality standards, and patient service
  • Partner with procurement and IT to support equipment maintenance, upgrades, and system integration
  • Monitor business outcomes, including exam volumes, patient satisfaction, and cost-effective resource utilization
  • Lead and implement quality improvement initiatives specific to mammography services
  • Act as the primary liaison for regulatory inspections and accreditation surveys
  • Ensure timely communication with providers and staff regarding imaging results and workflow needs
  • Maintain clinical competency and support ongoing professional development within the imaging team
