Summary Maintains production machinery and mechanical equipment. Repairs equipment such as pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, part pick and place, pumps, compressors, and other electro-mechanical production machines. Performs work as an advanced maintenance technician. Provides guidance and leadership to other team members to perform routine and specialized maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance
  • 5+ experience in building and equipment maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MS Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
  • Observes, operates and listens to mechanical equipment in operation to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Examines shape, form, and wear of parts to detect imperfections and problems.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements and adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels and straight edges.
  • Repairs and replaces defective parts by removing and installing equipment components.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts, start devices to test for performance.
  • A plus – able to set up and operate basic tool room equipment. Lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to repair or adjust parts.
  • A plus – Able to organize, plan and prioritize work for others.
  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
  • Identifies events and records differences for physical maintenance scheduling.
  • Drafts layouts and specifies technical devices, parts and equipment.
  • Provides instructions, makes sketches and defines requirements.
  • Makes decisions and solves problems from analyzing information and evaluating results.
