About The Position

Analyze freight and inventory levels for multiple inventory requests from Medline divisions, Sales and Customer Service to ensure adequate stock levels and ensure responsible spending of Medline freight dollars.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • At least 2 years related experience with Supply Planning, or related field.
  • Experience using inventory or supply planning systems
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft business products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, others)
  • Ability to analyze data and clearly communicate results and recommended actions to various different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders with differing opinions, and balance trade-offs while focusing on results.
  • Ability lead and coach to team on projects and service improvements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience using SAP.
  • Experience in healthcare or medical supplies manufacturing or distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze backorder lines.
  • Determine if potential reroute to a viable shipping plant based on stock status and order profitability using approximate shipping expense is warranted.
  • Communicate with sales reps, customer service specialists and/or internal departments on sourcing and/or routing decisions. This includes taking escalation calls, determining freight method and providing education on internal processes.
  • Work with Manager, Logistics to change guidelines based on specific issues, as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement projects to drive better efficiencies.
  • Training of new employees.
  • Training team members and end users on new process roll outs.
  • Ad hoc inventory projects, reporting and data analysis.
  • Collaboration and partnership with key stakeholders; Division GM’s, PM’s, Sales Management.
