Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5-7 years of relevant underwriting experience.

• Ability to interpret real estate appraisals and identify project risks.
• Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated strong documentation and risk management focus.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex residential mortgage loans and evaluate associated risks.
• Review and approve complex portfolio loans while applying bank policies.
• Discuss alternative loan structures and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Evaluate financial documents and conditions for loan approval.
• Coach and mentor junior underwriters, assisting with their training.
