About The Position

Karcher is seeking a driven and analytical SR Key Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team, reporting directly to the VP of Retail Sales. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your sales career by supporting and growing relationships with some of North America's largest retailers, including Sam's Club, Costco, Walmart, Lowe’s, and Home Depot . This is how you WOW: Relationship Management & Communication: Own and grow key accounts: Develop and strengthen relationships with retail partners. Understand each customer’s business to identify new opportunities and deliver tailored solutions. Proactively address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure seamless communication flow between Karcher and our retail partners. Assist in preparing for and participating in critical buyer meetings and product reviews, presenting Karcher's value proposition. Sales Growth & Performance: Drive results: Lead sales planning and execution to meet and exceed goals in distribution, velocity, and market share. Use data to drive decisions: Analyze syndicated and POS data to uncover trends, evaluate performance, and inform your sales and category approach. Act as a category expert: Apply category management principles to highlight assortment gaps and growth opportunities—positioning both our brand and the category for success. Represent the brand externally: Attend customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events to deepen partnerships and expand visibility. Operational Excellence: Handle executional details: Maintain accurate item setup and pricing, prepare customer-facing materials, manage reporting, and ensure alignment across internal systems. Collaborate across teams: Partner with marketing, supply chain, and finance to align on forecasts, inventory, and brand priorities. Secure new business: Present compelling assortment and promotional pitches that align with both customer and brand strategies. Lead reporting of business results at the defined cadence, whether internally within the Direct team or with leadership for your respective categories.

Requirements

  • College degree in business management or marketing preferable or documented field experience related to successful National Account Management.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales or buying, account coordination, or category management, preferably within consumer goods or retail.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven proficiency in Excel/ Google Sheets and PowerPoint/ Google Slides for creating compelling presentations.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence effectively.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed for retailer meetings and industry events.
  • Up to 35% both domestic and international
  • Ability to lift and move boxes or product displays, up to [Specify Weight, e.g., 25-50 lbs., as needed for trade shows and retail resets.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably experience working with a leading consumer brand distributed through Sam’s, Costco, Walmart, Home Depot, or Lowes.
  • Familiarity with retail operations, merchandising, and supply chain dynamics is a plus.
  • Experience or exposure to working with Sam's Club, Costco, Walmart, Lowe’s, and Home Depot is a significant advantage.
