About The Position

This position, under the field supervision of a Foreperson, Superintendent, or Project Manager, involves performing various tasks related to the installation of commercial and industrial electrical and electronic systems.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum of six years’ experience in the electrical or building automations trade.
  • Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program and the ability to obtain a Maryland and Delaware Electrical Journeyperson License.
  • Satisfactorily performs tasks at or above Journeyperson level.
  • Good work ethic.
  • Self-starter and ability to follow directions.
  • Confident, decisive, self-motivated, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location/office.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must purchase company required personal tools (see attached list) and maintain in good condition.
  • Ability and willingness to drive company vehicles as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally to jobsites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures.
  • Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M employment policies and procedures including standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company.
  • Installs conduit systems.
  • Installs wiring systems.
  • Mounts and terminates end control devices and sensors independently.
  • Reads and interprets schematics, BAS diagrams and blueprints.
  • Sets up and performs installation of systems.
  • Installs all motor control systems and variable speed drives.
  • Assists with troubleshooting installation related problems.
  • Installs special electrical systems (i.e., nurse call, CCTV, security, controls etc.)
  • Assists all apprentices and Journeypersons with learning new field skills.
  • Safeguards and maintains Tri-M equipment, material, tools, and vehicles.
  • Requisitions materials as needed.
  • Administers all projects as assigned.
  • Effectively manages project close out process.
