About The Position

The Senior Atlassian Administrator will own and provide strategic direction for our critical cloud-based Atlassian tool suite. The goal of this role is to empower the teams at HI by optimizing the capabilities of the Atlassian suite, increasing productivity and fostering collaboration. You’ll support company-wide operations by providing a comprehensive platform for HI teams to track and manage their work. You’ll leverage the Atlassian platform to enhance organizational efficiency, improve development velocity, and facilitate seamless cross-functional work, directly supporting the company’s mission to solve America’s retirement savings crisis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years Jira/Confluence admin experience
  • Demonstrable experience integrating Atlassian with complimentary systems using third-party apps or custom scripts
  • Strong knowledge of JQL, Jira automations, and dashboard and reporting tools such as eazyBI, Structure, Rich Filters, and Advanced Roadmaps
  • Strong understanding of Agile project management methodologies
  • Deep expertise in Atlassian Cloud administration and understanding of governance and security best practices within a cloud environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, process implementation skills and ability to balance multiple, competing priorities
  • Proven ability to act as a mentor, trainer, and consultant to stakeholders, translating complex technical configurations into clear business requirements and processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly and concisely
  • Expert guidance; you know the best ways to use Atlassian products and you proactively and effectively communicates pitfalls to stakeholders
  • Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certification (e.g., ACP-120 Jira Administrator for Cloud, ACP-420 Managing Service Projects for Cloud, ACP-620 Managing Jira projects for Cloud) is highly preferred

  • experience with eazyBI, Rich Filters, Structure, Salesforce Connector for Jira, familiarity with Jira REST API’s

Responsibilities

  • Own the administration of our cloud-based Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence instances with a heavy focus on dashboards and reporting
  • Manage third-party apps and integrations between Atlassian and other systems such as Salesforce, Slack, Github, and PagerDuty
  • Handle routine Jira and Confluence support requests
  • Assist users with Confluence wiki content management and customization, promote adoption of internal wiki knowledge base
  • Serve as the primary Atlassian subject matter expert, proactively advising executive leadership (including the CTO) on strategic tooling roadmaps, investment decisions, and platform scalability
  • Own the annual licensing lifecycle for the entire Atlassian tool suite and related third-party applications, managing budget and vendor relationships.
  • Lead the design and implementation of optimized, scalable, and user-friendly workflows that enforce best practices and enhance efficiency for engineering, product, and business teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their business processes and determine ways to optimize and improve them within Jira
  • Utilize your systems design skills to tailor Jira workflows and related configurations for complex and high impact projects
  • Support strategic initiatives: growth and scaling, automation efficiencies, business continuity and security, and data integrity
