SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting the information systems and assisting with production systems within the bacon plant. Work will be primarily performed in the plant location, but can assist with other locations including St Joseph, Salt Lake City, Missoula, and the corporate location in Kansas City. Maintain industry specific equipment including CAT2 system devices, ADP Timeclocks, and automated equipment. This role will have weekend on-call requirements and will be the backup to the Information Systems Manager as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following: (other duties may be assigned) Design, manage, and implement break/fixes for any issues that arise within laptop/desktop computers or IP production equipment Strong experience using Active Directory, GPO. Microsoft SQL would be a plus. Assist with application and desktop support, monitoring and maintaining all the Company’s computer systems Must be able to assist with design and implementation of production floor projects. This can require a fair amount of time on the production floor where we produce bacon. Forklifts, conveyors, slicers, smokehouses, and other industrial machines are present. Perform routine preventative maintenance. Working with the Maintenance Department collaborate on network hardware installation projects. Assist Information Services team with remote Windows support responsibilities Implement and follow best practices for networking department Serve as a Help Desk resource for resolving Windows, Cat System, or other system issues, both during and after regular working hours Create, maintain, and discover ways to automate any IT department processes leading to site consistency Ability to write routine daily activity reports and correspondence and develop project schedules. Special project work as needed. Other duties within the department as assigned. Act as backup to the IT Manager. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 2 to 5 years of IT Help Desk and or IT repair experience; IT Technical Degree preferred. Minimum Associates a plus. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures manuals, building/equipment drawings and schematics Certifications are desired such as to A+, Network +, Security+ or equivalent OTJ is acceptable. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must be able to effectively communicate in English including reading, writing, and speaking. Bilingual in Spanish is desired REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Must be able to solve problems quickly and with good judgment OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn and effective use all other computer programs that are or be made available PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud and the ability to wear OSHA PPE is required. NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Note: The hours and days of work are established as needed by operations and at the discretion of management and, generally as shown below, may be changed (increased or decreased) by management as required. Work Schedule: Hours of Work: Generally, 8 or more hours per day, normally five days per week. Occasional weekend work may be required as needed.
