About The Position

Senior IT Manager – Manufacturing Location: Savannah, GA (Onsite) Reports to: CFO / Interim President Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview The Senior IT Manager is the senior onsite IT leader responsible for the reliability, security, and day-to-day operation of technology supporting manufacturing and business systems. This is a hands-on role in a production-driven environment, working closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and managed service providers. The role balances practical execution with vendor management and pragmatic planning. System uptime, cybersecurity, and clear communication are critical.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of IT experience, including leadership or senior responsibility
  • Experience supporting IT systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and security
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
  • Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, production environment
  • Strong communication and vendor management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to plant-floor systems or OT/IT integration
  • Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs and production reporting
  • Experience managing managed service providers
  • An IT operator, not a strategist-only profile
  • Comfortable being hands-on while managing vendors

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliable operation of ERP/MRP, production, inventory, quality, and plant-floor systems
  • Remain hands-on in troubleshooting and resolving issues that impact production
  • Manage and hold managed service providers accountable for service quality and outcomes
  • Oversee infrastructure, networks, endpoints, backups, and disaster recovery
  • Own day-to-day cybersecurity posture and risk mitigation
  • Provide internal ownership, prioritization, and coordination of IT initiatives, directing execution across managed service providers and other vendors as appropriate
  • Partner with operations and leadership to improve usability, data quality, and reliability
  • Manage IT budget, vendors, licensing, and procurement
  • Establish IT policies, standards, and governance appropriate for a manufacturing environment
