This job maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems and supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems group; maintains knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and may lead and direct the work of others. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years related IT experience
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills and ability to maintain a logical though process.
  • Ability to work under stressful situations to remain objective and professional at all times.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities.
  • Ability to move throughout and between campuses.
  • Job may require occasional out of town travel.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, such as working nights, weekends, extended shifts, etc.
  • Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service ensuring that all the components necessary to support the network client are in place and functional, such as power/surge protections, computer equipment and cabling.
  • Maintains systems and documents use and problems.
  • Provides remote and on-site technical support.
  • Trains and contributes to quality improvement measures through the coaching and mentoring of Technology staff.
  • Coaches and mentors Technology Specialist agents.
  • Ensures end users receive high-quality and timely service and support from the entire IS organization.
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
