Meet the team: Our Government Affairs team is at the forefront of shaping policy and building strategic relationships that advance Dexcom’s patient centered mission globally. We work across multiple levels of government and with our internal partners to ensure compliance, advocate for our priorities, and foster collaboration. As part of this dynamic team, you’ll report directly to the Senior Director of Government Affairs and collaborate closely with colleagues specializing in state and federal government affairs as well as government affairs compliance. Together, we navigate complex legislative and regulatory landscapes, providing insight and guidance that influence policy at the highest levels. This role focuses on international government affairs, engaging with global stakeholders, monitoring international policy developments, and supporting initiatives that strengthen our presence and impact worldwide. Requirements

  • You are a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of international policy, diplomacy, and regulatory environments.
  • You have proven experience building and maintaining relationships with government officials, trade associations, and global stakeholders.
  • You bring exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent the organization in high-level international forums.
  • Your proficiency includes analyzing complex legislative and regulatory issues and translating them into actionable strategies.
  • You have strong project management skills and can prioritize multiple initiatives across diverse regions.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and collaborating with teams across borders.
  • You have the ability to ensure compliance with international lobbying and reporting requirements.
  • You are fluent in English and potentially multi-lingual to support global engagement.
  • You bring cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with diverse international partners.

Nice To Haves

  • You have experience in international trade, foreign policy, or global regulatory affairs.
  • You hold advanced degrees in political science, international relations, law, or related fields.
  • You bring knowledge of additional languages beyond English.
  • You have prior experience in government affairs within healthcare

Responsibilities

  • You will lead efforts to monitor, analyze, and interpret international legislative and regulatory developments that impact the organization’s global operations.
  • You manage relationships with key international government stakeholders, trade associations, and policy influencers to advance strategic priorities.
  • You will work collaboratively to develop and execute advocacy strategies that align with organizational goals in multiple regions and jurisdictions.
  • You collaborate with internal teams, including legal and supply chain partners to ensure consistent messaging and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • You provide timely insights and recommendations to senior leadership on emerging global policy trends and risks.
  • You design briefing materials, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences to support engagement with international policymakers.
  • You will represent the organization in international forums, conferences, and meetings to build visibility and strengthen partnerships.
  • You ensure compliance with all applicable international lobbying and reporting requirements.
  • You contribute to cross-functional projects that require coordination between global government affairs, legal, and business units.
